I started with Ismael last fall. I was coming home from having a knee replacement and as we rounded the corner on my street I noticed that a crew was cleaning up leaves at the corner home. My friend offered to go back and see if they could do my yard. They did and shortly afterwards I asked if he could build a patio under my fire pit. He designed and laid a patio of pavers and it came out beautifully. Next, I asked for help with the biggest project of all in my backyard and that was poor drainage from water runoff from the homes up the street. Each big rain flowed down to my backyard leaving a big soggy wet area that didn’t dry up for months. He assured me that his team would resolve the problem! He kept his promise! He ran a new drain through the yard and improved the drainage from back downspouts that he thought were contributing to the problem. And he was right, for the first time in the 5 years I’ve lived here the ground was firm! Each big rain since confirmed that I had the right man. Since then his team put a border of rock completely around my deck, put a rock edge around the front landscape, added some mulch and cleaned up after themselves, leaving the property looking good! The latest project was to bury the front downspouts under the sidewalk and run a drain further away in the front yard. The heavy rain we had recently drained out of the area just fine! He seeded the areas where the work was done. I like it that he returns to the property frequently to be sure the homeowner is satisfied. I really couldn’t be happier!

We had some erosion in an area at the exterior entry at the walkway in need of repair. The work was done very professionally, filling and packing the eroded area under the walk with gravel and leveling the entire area in front with fill, and mulching around the house. When finished it looked like new and at a reasonable price. Will definitely use them again and would recommend AJJ to anyone needing work done.

Ismael came highly referred to me. He has done several major projects for me. He completely regraded a property that had water issues in the basement. Everything was reseeded and the lawn looks great. He just cleared, regraded, and reseeded another property. Completely changed the backyard. We have used this company for mulch but recently used them to replace a retaining wall that fell and put in some new drainage pipes. They were wonderful! Estimate was good and work was completed quickly and cleanly. We had a weed barrier laid, mulch spread and the edge pavers on the side of the house extended up around the front garden. They are coming back to add plants once more get put out at the nurseries (it’s late winter now). Professional service and I am pleased with the work. We’d use AJJ again.

Ismael and his crew are not afraid of hard work. They finish what they start, and do a variety of landscaping chores. They will replace plants, trim trees, clear downspouts, mulch and weed removal. We’ve used them for a number of years, and have been satisfied with their work. If all contractors I’ve had worked as hard as Ismael and were as thorough, my lists would be shorter, and I’d be happier. Highly recommended.
